By car: Take A5 Aosta/Trafori M.Bianco Gran San Bernardo; exit Aosta centro, then follow signals for Funivia di Pila and take the Cable-cabins to Pila, or, from Aosta, drive to Pila (18 km) (better choice if you wish to go back after the cabins close up).
By train or bus: Reach Milan Central Station, then take the subway to Lampugnano, then take the bus to Aosta station (http://www.savda.it/it/35/valle-d-aosta-milano/ ); walk to the Cable-cabins (800 mt): take the cabins to Pila.
Cable-cabins Aosta-Pila opening time: 8.00-12.45 14.15– 18.00
In Pila take the chair-lift Chamolè: 8.45 – 17.00
From Chamolè chair-lift upper station follow the evident and easy track for Refuge Arbolle (1h and 30 mins walking, 500 mt above)
